International shipping

For most small orders of ready-made items, please allow 1-2 business days after your payment is received for us to prepare your order and get it ready for shipment. We cannot provide same-day shipping of orders. Wholesale, large or custom orders will take more time for us to prepare -- please inquire about lead times when you place your order.

At our discretion, shipment may be held for up to 7 business days after payment by personal check or e-check to allow these payments to clear.

Jingle alert! We package our bells carefully, but they still will make some noise in the package. If you are ordering a bell as a surprise gift, you may want to have us mail your order to your work address or to a friendly neighbor.

Packaging and insurance. Your purchase will be shipped to you carefully packaged and clearly labeled. In many cases, the package will also be insured against loss or damage in transit. You are responsible for contacting the shipper with any claim for shipping damage or loss.

Shippers. UPS and USPS are the only carriers readily available in our small community. We can also ship via FedEx, DHL and other shippers for the additional cost of courier pickup. For UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc., please provide your street address -- these carriers cannot deliver to a Post Office box. If you provide your UPS or FedEx account number, we can bill the shipping costs directly to your account.

Please choose a shipping method that will ensure timely delivery.

Standard: Please allow 3 calendar days for standard shipping to the central states and 7 calendar days to the eastern and western states, Alaska and Hawaii. Allow even more time for delivery during the busy December shopping season.

Express (2-4 days) and Next-day (1-2 days): These methods are faster and more reliable and provide detailed tracking information. Winter-time transportation and weather problems may delay Express and Next-day deliveries by 1 to 3 days, however.

Can't decide what shipping to use?

If you live in the US, count the business days (Monday through Friday, not including holidays) between your order date and your desired delivery date. Divide by two and round down. (Example: Round 8.5 days down to 8 days.) If your answer is...

8 days or more: Standard shipping will be fine for most people most of the time. If you need your order delivered promptly and reliably or if you need to track your shipment closely, however, you should choose Express or Next-day shipping.
5-7 days: Express shipping will be a good choice for most people. If you are uncomfortable with even a modest chance of delay, we suggest Next-day shipping.
3-4 days: We strongly recommend Next-day shipping, especially if you live in an eastern or western state, Alaska or Hawaii, or if bad winter weather is predicted between Iowa and where you live.
2 days or less: The only realistic option is Next-day shipping. Even with Next-day shipping, please understand that bad weather or transportation problems may delay delivery past your deadline.

International shipping

We generally ship internationally using the US Postal Service International Priority mail or USPS International Express mail. If you prefer UPS, Fed Ex or other delivery service, please contact us for a price.

In our experience, typical delivery times for USPS International Priority Mail have been about 7 business days to Canada and 7 to 10 days to the UK, New Zealand, Australia and Sweden. Delivery may be delayed in bad weather and in the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Customs inspection in your country may unfortunately cause an additional delay and possibly additional expense.
