Hartford 20-bell rump strap

This unusual hip strap design is an adaptation of an old strap from Hartford, Connecticut USA. This design is similar to a traditional rump strap, except it is fitted with a double row of small bells, similar to a pony strap. This style appeals to saddle-horse owners as well as carriage drivers.

This strap is about 24" long and 3" wide and holds a total of 20 smaller bells -- as many bells as some full body straps have. The bells have a cheerful, classic "sleigh bell" sound that carries well. The strap easily fits a wide variety of equines, from pony to draft, and is also attractive enough to hang on a door or wall for display.
