8-bell strap, antique globe and double throat bells, limited edition

The globe and double-throat bells on these 8-bell door straps have been hand picked for a clear, musical sound and pleasing appearance.

The four globe bells on each strap are shaped like a small chicken egg. This is the most typical style of globe bell made back in the day. The four double throat bells are also a typical style for this type of sleigh bell.

All of the bells are over 100 years old. They are all a #2 size, about 1 1/4" across, and have a natural patina of small dark freckles scattered over the golden brass. Click "See more images" for closeup pictures.

The antique bells will have some visual flaws, including casting defects, hairline cracks, scratches, etc. as evidence of their long history. More about our bells...

Each leather strap is 22" long and 1 1/2" wide. The strap is fully lined with leather on the back. There are solid brass rivets between each pair of bells. Due to its length, this strap is not well suited to hanging from a door knob -- I recommend hanging it higher on a door or wall.

The solid brass ring at the top adds another 3" to the total length. The ring measures 3" across on the outside and 2 1/2" across on the inside.

As of this writing, I have two straps for sale that are identical except for color. These are a limited edition item -- when they are gone, they're gone.
