The "petal" bells on this 9-bell door strap have been hand picked for a clear, musical sound and pleasing appearance.
All of the bells are true antiques, dating to the late 1800s or early 1900s. They graduate in size from a generous 2" (size #8) at the top down to a petite 1" (size #0) at the bottom. Each bell is legibly marked with its size. Click "See more images" for larger pictures.
These antique bells will have some visual flaws, including casting defects, hairline cracks, scratches, etc. as evidence of their long history. More about our bells...
The dark brown leather strap is 26" long and 1 1/2" wide. The strap is fully lined with leather on the back. There are solid brass rivets between each pair of bells to hold the lining and bell straps together. Due to its length, this strap is not well suited to hanging from a door knob -- I recommend hanging it higher on a door or wall as shown in the larger pictures.
The solid brass ring at the top adds another 3" to the total length. The ring measures 3" across on the outside and 2 1/2" across on the inside.
