Display strap with 8 rusty steel bells

This strap features 8 steel "jingle" bells. Although they have little value as a collectible, these bells are a treasured family keepsake.

This was one of the first sets of steel bells I have been asked to work on. As received, the bells were very dirty, rusty, and pitted (click "See more images" for before-and-after photos). I could have removed the rust entirely, but the owner and I decided to just remove the dirt and leave the rust intact.

I transferred the buckle from the old strap to the new one. The copper "bull ring" came from my stash of used hardware.
