Keeper loop strap with 18 smaller graduated bells

This cheerful bell strap features a set of 18 smaller petal bells from the late 1800s. "Keeper loops" between each pair of bells holds this bell strap and its lining strap together.

To improve the looks of the strap, the owner and I decided to space the bells closer together than they were on the original 8-foot-long strap. The new strap is about 5 feet long which is easier to display in the home (or wear on Santa's shoulder) than a longer strap. The other details of the new strap are similar to the original.

There are seven #2 bells (1 1/4" diameter), six #3, two #4, two #5, and one #6 bell (1 3/4" diameter) in the center of the strap. It is likely that the original strap had an even number of #2 bells, but at least one bell was lost.
