Laced strap with 13 Swedish bells

This laced bell strap holds 13 large, heavy "traditional Swedish" bells. The bells date to the late 1800s and early 1900s. The bells were cleaned, polished, and lacquered.

The dark brown bell and lining straps are woven together to hold the Swedish bells in place on the strap.

The finished piece is 2" wide and about 6 feet long from buckle to tip. The ends taper to 1 1/2" wide to accommodate the 1 1/2" new solid-brass buckle. 

The hanging ring at the top was included at the customer's request. It is an extra-cost option that I can add to most buckled straps like this one. The ring is fastened onto the buckle with a separate short piece of leather.
