Four rump straps with Swedish improved bells

We created four rump straps using antique Swedish improved bells and medium brown leather.

The three larger straps were made for a gentleman for whom we have done quite a bit of work. We added the short 2-bell strap to round out the set and show the full range of rump straps that were once commonly made.

These straps are 2 1/2" wide and range from 14" long for the 2-bell strap to 30" long for the 8-bell strap. Although not found on old rump straps, we added dees to the ends of all the straps to allow them to be easily hung on a wall or tied securely to a horse's harness.
