Rivet strap with 17 Swedish traditional bells

Swedish bells are heavy bells, so they are often put on short, wide rump straps for use on a horse. The original maker put these 17 Swedish traditional bells on a long buckled strap instead. I have not seen this specific type of sleigh bell strap before or since. That is probably a good thing, since this strap is heavy!

The owner ask me to replicate the original strap as closely as possible. The strap is about 88 inches long and 2 inches wide. I made the new version out of black leather and reused the old buckle. The buckle is backed with a protective "safe" of leather. Solid brass tubular rivets hold the narrow bell strap and the bells in place on the wide lining strap.
