8-bell straps, antique bells, one of a kind

These two 8-bell display straps feature "round ridge" bells from the late 1800s and early 1900s. More about round ridge bells...

One strap has solid brass bells, 1 1/8" across, with their original 1800s-era nickel-plated finish (antiqued silver finish). It is unusual to find bells with their plating in good condition, so these bells are a bit unusual for that reason. Please be aware the nickel plating on these bells is gently worn from years of use on a horse, so the finish is not a uniform shiny silver -- there are areas on each bell where the plating has worn through to the underlying brass, giving the bells a softer antiqued appearance. The hanging ring is solid stainless steel to match the color of the bells.

The other strap has solid brass bells, 1 1/4" across, that have been polished to a soft golden luster (soft gold finish). I have added have a clear lacquer finish to preserve the golden color and shine of the bells. The solid-brass hanging ring has been lightly darkened so its color blends with the antique bells.

The bells have been hand picked for a pleasing choral sound and have a bright cheery sound. More about our bells... Each medium brown leather strap is 1 1/2 inches wide. The strap is fully lined with leather on the back so there is no metal to scratch a door or wall. All hardware is solid brass.

Overall length: 23 1/2". Strap length: 20 1/2", Strap width: 1 1/2". Bells: 8 each round ridge bells, 1 1/8" to 1 1/4" across -- see above for more information about the size of bells on each strap.

Note: If hung on a door handle, either of these straps may be long enough to get caught in the door as the door is shut. The strap will probably work best if hung from a hook higher on the door (click "See more images" for an example.)

When these two strap are gone, they're gone. No rain checks and no back orders.
