This one-of-a-kind sleigh bell strap has 24 antique bells.
The bells have a smooth "round ridge" shape, but they are unique due to the second throat (slit) across the top. These 24 bells are the only ones we have in stock; we don't see this style of bell very often. The two-throat design softens the sound a bit, compared to a single-throat bell, but the bells still have a merry, bright jingle that carries well.
All bells are #2 size, 1 1/4" across -- that's about the size of an large English walnut. They were made in the late 1800s or early 1900s. More about our bells...
The dark brown leather strap is 46" long from the tip to the buckle. It is made from a single layer of leather -- there is no separate lining strap. The main part of the strap is 1 1/8" wide. It tapers at the ends to 7/8" wide to fit the solid brass buckle.
When buckled, the strap will make a circle 42 to 44 inches around. It would look good in Santa's hand. It would also fit around the neck of a large pony or cob-sized horse -- but please measure first to make sure!
