Pony strap with 60 small bells

The owner asked me to create a new "pony" strap similar to the original for her large herd of "round ridge" bells. A pony strap is the rather odd name for a strap with two or more rows of bells.

Some of the original 66 bells were missing, so I adjusted the design to fit the 60 remaining bells. I also made the new strap 1/4 inch wider than the original 2 1/2 inches, so the fasteners for the bells are not crowded quite so close to the edges of the strap. The original buckle was in good shape, so I reused it on the new strap.

The entire piece is about 74 inches long overall. The wider portion is about 66 inches long and 2 3/4 inches wide. Click on "See more images" to compare fragments of the old strap with the new.
