Unlined strap with 21 Raspberry bells

These highly-collectible antique bells are called "raspberry" bells in the US and "fishscale" bells in the UK. These particular bells date to the late 1800s or early 1900s. I do not know the name of the foundry that made them.

There are 21 bells on this dark brown strap. Each bell is 1 1/4 inches across. The new strap is similar to the original with separate buckle and billet ends riveted onto the slightly wider main bell strap.

There is at least one foundry still making a modern version of the raspberry bell. It is unfortunately common for sellers to misrepresent these modern bells as antiques and price them accordingly. More: https://classicbells.com/info/Specialty.asp
