Most unlined bell straps are simple, dark straps of leather. Some manufacturers produced more elaborate bell straps featuring fancy trims -- thin linings or edge bindings made of celluloid, oil cloth, or leather. This bell strap is a re-creation of this type of fancy strap.
The 41 antique "round ridge" bells on this strap are 1" to 1 1/8" in diameter and are tightly spaced just 1 1/4" apart. More about our bells...
The bell strap is made of dark brown bridle leather. It is 1" wide and just under 57" long from buckle to tip. When buckled, the strap makes a circle 51" to 55" around.
The thin leather edging is a slightly lighter shade of brown. It has been "pinked" with a decorative zig-zag pattern and securely stitched to the main strap.
