"The Ed-Bar News" brochure from November, 1905. This four-page brochure was for the Edward Barnard Company, a wholesale harness and saddlery maker from Rome, New York.
The front page of this brochure lists two types of shaft chimes. The second page has two more styles of shaft chimes, a set of "pad chimes" (rump bells) and several styles of body straps. Page three features two styles of "team bells" (open bells) and otter- and bear-fur gloves.
The back page describes the maker's special work harness. The product description closes with the matter-of-fact comment: "...We have been making these [farm harnesses] for five years. Not a complaint yet. Don't expect one soon...."
The black-and-white brochure is a single sheet, printed on both sides and folded in half to make four pages. The original sheet size, unfolded, is 9" high by 12" wide.
What you will get: Two high-resolution images in PDF format, one of the front and back pages of the brochure and one of the inner two pages. Each image will print beautifully on an 8 1/2" by 11" sheet. The free Adobe Reader is required to view or print these files.
