Buckle, heel bar, 1 1/4 in. wide

This solid brass heel-bar buckle is 1 1/4" wide. The stainless steel tongue resists bending under stress, and the brass roller reduces friction when the strap is drawn tight.

Although a heel-bar buckle is more difficult to install than a center-bar buckle because it requires a separate keeper loop, this type of buckle is easier to use with thick, firm leathers.
