Sheath for hunting knife

This black bridle-leather sheath was custom made for a handsome hunting knife with an elk-antler handle. The knife was made by southwestern Wisconsin knifemaker Dan Kenyon.

The outer face is stamped with a traditional basket-weave pattern, and all edges are beautifully finished. The welt (spacer between the front and back of the sheath) is carefully tapered so there is just the right amount of friction to hold the blade securely in the sheath. A retaining loop can be added to this design for more security if desired.

We can make a sheath similar to the one shown for your fixed-blade knife. We prefer to have the knife so the sheath can be made to fit. If this is not possible, we can work from your drawings, but we cannot guarantee the fit.
