The collar comes in several versions:
- Narrow with 3 bells. Collar is 5/8" wide overall with very small bells. Suggested for small to medium-small dogs with 10 to 16 inch collars. A bit too large and heavy for cats and the smallest of dogs.
- Medium with 3 bells. Collar is 7/8" wide overall with small to medium bells. Suggested for medium-small to large dogs with 14 to 20 inch collars.
- Medium with 5 bells. Collar is 7/8" wide overall with small to medium bells. Suggested for medium to extra-large dogs wearing 18 to 24 inch collars. The collar must be at least 16" long to have 5 bells -- a shorter collar does not have enough room for the bells.
- Wide with 5 bells. Collar is the same as above except the strap is 1 1/4" wide overall. The collar must be at least 16" long to have 5 bells -- a shorter collar does not have enough room for the bells.
- Wide with 7 bells. Collar is 1 1/4" wide overall with small to medium bells. Suggested for large to extra-large dogs wearing 20 to 28 inch collars. The collar must be at least 20" long to have 7 bells -- a shorter collar does not have enough room for the bells.
- Extra wide with 9 bells. Collar is 2" wide in the center, tapers to 1 1/4" at the ends, and has small to medium bells. Suggested for extra-large to supersize dogs with collars 24 inches and longer. The collar must be at least 23" long to have 9 bells -- a shorter collar does not have enough room for the bells.
Made with antique solid-brass sleigh bells, solid-brass hardware, and durable bridle leather in your choice of black, dark brown, or medium brown. View colors... I will choose "round ridge" or "petal" bells for your collar, depending on the bells I have in stock that sound the best and are most suitable. The edges of the collar are dyed to match the main color and carefully finished. I add a delicate "crease" around all edges of the collar as a traditional decorative accent.
Please provide the buckled length (not the total length) of the collar. Measure carefully, please. There will be a charge for making a replacement collar if you mis-measure -- my goofs are the only ones I fix for free. How to measure... and size guidelines for various dog breeds...
