Receipt for purchase of hand bells from the Starr Brothers Bell Company of East Hampton, Connecticut.
The receipt, dated October 16, 1890, features an ornate Victorian-era heading printed in purple ink showing the company name, slogan, and a detailed engraving of a "globe" bell.
The main invoice entries are elegantly written in faded brown ink with two brief scribbled notes in blue pencil.
